PROPOLIS (Resina propoli)
Use: Healing agent
Propolis also known as bee glue has been used as medicine for centuries by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians. Honeybees use propolis to seal cracks and protect the colony from dangerous bacteria, microbes, and fungi. They also use propolis to embalm dying insects and rodents that may have invaded the hive. This incredible substance creates a sterile environment inside the colony. It is made from the resin and sap flows of pine, spruce, oak, sweet gum and other botanical sources. There are over 500 bio-active flavonoids found in propolis. Studies show that it has immune-supportive activity both topically and internally, acting on the skin and mucous membranes of the body to promote healthy tissue. Propolis may help maintain health and comfort in the throat, teeth and gums. There are more than 30 pharmaceutical drugs in the world based on propolis.
Precautions: Contains alcohol. Consult a health care provider before use. Use caution if you are allergic to bees, bee stings or bee products
